“The fashion industry has primarily existed to increase profit margins by marginalizing communities and people at the bottom of the supply chain. We found a way of increasing profit margin without hurting people, and we are transparent about the entire process.”

Matthew Scanlan

Founded in 2013 by Matthew Scanlan, Diederik Rijsemus, and creative director Hadas Saar, Naadam sources its fibers from nomadic herders
in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert region, helping to preserve their cultural identity through fair wages, herd immunizations, and support of the Gobi Desert Revival Fund, which ensures access to healthcare and education for nomadic communities.
